Who Are We?

"Grass Academy"

is a charitable educational institution dedicated to serving the Quran. It establishes circles that focus on correcting recitation and memorization of the Quran for children. In addition, it conducts activities for Quranic education, including interpreting its meanings, contemplating its verses, and disseminating its faith-based messages and educational guidelines. The academy aims to be an attractive and influential educational environment through institutional Quranic work and continuous training for the teaching staff. It focuses on Quranic care for orphans, operating in several orphanages, officially licensed in the United States with license number (C2023 282 01058).

 

The idea of the Academy came after contemplating the painful reality of the situation of orphans in Syria and Turkey, and their urgent need for educational care, humanitarian care, and meeting urgent needs, so the Academy's projects strove to meet the needs of the orphan in every realm.

 

The Quran classes were the first projects in the orphanage: by the end of the year (2023), fifty-three classes for teaching the Holy Quran in Syria and Turkey were established, in which (1283) students benefited. Supervising their education and upbringing were fifty experienced teachers, with a specialized administrative and supervisory staff.

 

The Quran classes in the orphanages focus on correcting the recitation and memorization of the students. In addition to carrying out educational activities in the Holy Quran, by interpreting its meanings, reflecting on its verses, broadcasting its messages of faith, and educational guidance, to be an attractive and influential educational embrace, through institutional Quranic work, and continuous rehabilitation of the educational staff.    

             

The academy's work encompasses various paths:

 

Student Path: Includes circles for teaching proper Arabic reading, Quranic education, recitation, and certification with authorization. It also includes programs and educational activities such as curriculum accompanying the circles, summer clubs, youth camps, trips, sports activities, and Ramadan retreats.

  • Teacher Path: Involves Quranic qualification, legal qualification, educational qualification, and circles for mastering Quranic recitation.

 

  • Talented Individuals Care: Involves creating attractive programs for this category, selecting suitable competencies from educators for guidance and counseling, with a primary focus on orphans.

 

  • Teaching Arabic to Non-Arabic Speakers: Involves organizing diverse programs for teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers, enabling learners to acquire basic skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Literacy programs use a structural approach for teaching reading skills to beginners, along with teaching Arabic grammar in an easy and accessible manner, including the basics of Arabic calligraphy.
